yosemite.

we stood at the top of this fall....  we hiked all the way around to get to the top b/c the trail right alongside it was closed because of ice on the trial.  however...we didn't want to go back the long way around so we trekked down the slippery rocks.  we're proud to say we talked others into doing it too.  so we would live together or die alone...or something.  (my attempt to insert a lost quote).

i also went to yosemite over my spring break.

it was stellar.  went with my good friend, kate.

she's great.  a really true and good friend.

it was pretty great to get away for a bit.  we really enjoyed the time.

i haven't gone on a vacation like that in a long time.  going somewhere w/o a specific purpose.  i went because i wanted to.  i spent money on myself... and couldn't justify it as for the sake of another.  it was for me.  and...i felt ok with that.  

maybe i have learned something about caring for the soul in my program.  

did i mention i graduate in a week?  yup.  it's true.
